What We've Built That Applies Here
Our Shopify portfolio includes a +41% mobile conversion lift for FloraSoul India, ₹4.2L in launch-month revenue for Baby Forest — a D2C baby brand that generated that revenue in its first month with zero paid advertising — and a +33% repeat purchase rate improvement for Zevarly. These results come from a systematic approach: UX decisions made before design, payment integrations built into the architecture, and checkout flows engineered to reduce drop-off at every step.
The inputs for Qatar are different — QPay instead of Razorpay, QAR instead of INR, Arabic RTL as a first-class requirement. The methodology is identical. Conversion-first architecture applied to Qatar market specifications.
Qatar-Specific Technical Requirements
Payment Gateways: Shopify Payments is not available in Qatar. Every Qatari Shopify store requires a third-party gateway. QPay integration through MyFatoorah or Checkout.com is the most common requirement. Tap Payments also supports QAR. We advise on the right gateway during discovery based on your transaction profile, business registration type, and whether you're planning GCC-wide expansion.
Tabby BNPL: Tabby's Qatar merchant network has expanded significantly. The conversion mechanism is the same as across the GCC — instalment preview widgets on product pages show the payment breakdown before the customer reaches checkout. This is where the AOV lift comes from, and it only works correctly when integrated during the build phase, not added as a plugin after launch.
Arabic RTL: Qatar's consumer base is bilingual — Arabic-primary for a significant segment, English-comfortable for expats and younger consumers. We build bilingual storefronts with RTL-aware Liquid section schemas, bidirectional text rendering, and font stacks that work across Arabic and Latin scripts. This is intentional architecture, not a translation layer.
QNV 2030 & B2B Commerce: Qatar's Vision 2030 includes significant digital commerce investment. For Qatari businesses operating in B2B or wholesale channels, Shopify Plus with B2B wholesale portal is relevant. We build and configure Shopify Plus for Qatar enterprise clients.
Shopify Markets for GCC Expansion: For Qatar brands expanding across the GCC — UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain — we configure Shopify Markets with per-market pricing in QAR, AED, SAR, and KWD, country-specific shipping, and automatic currency switching by visitor location.
A Qatar or regionally-based Shopify agency charges USD 8,000–20,000 for a custom build. We deliver the same technical output starting from USD 4,500 for a custom Liquid theme with Qatar payment stack, Arabic RTL, and app integrations. Headless Hydrogen projects for premium Qatar brands start at USD 9,000.
This is a cost-base difference, not a quality difference. Our 12-person engineering team runs from Kolkata. The +2.5 hour timezone gap means our working day overlaps with Doha business hours. We've shipped production systems for clients in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and internationally. Qatar is a market we understand and are actively serving.
