House Of Manjari

House of Manjari had built a loyal following on Instagram for their handcrafted Jaipur home furnishings — hand block printed bedsheets, quilts, dohars, and cushion covers made with 100% cotton and azo-free natural colours. But their existing online store was a generic Shopify template that failed to communicate the artisanal quality and heritage behind every product. The core challenge was translating a tactile, sensory product experience into a digital storefront. Home textiles are inherently touch-and-feel purchases — customers want to see the hand block printing details, understand the cotton quality, and visualise how a bedsheet or quilt will look in their bedroom. House of Manjari's products aren't mass-produced commodities; each piece has subtle variations that are a feature of handcraftsmanship, not a defect. The store needed to communicate this story clearly to justify a premium price point (bedsheets from ₹1,295 to ₹2,890+, quilts up to ₹4,870). The product catalogue was expanding rapidly — from bedding to dohars, cushion covers, table cloths, bathrobes, and even women's clothing (kaftans, stoles, co-ord sets). Navigation and product discovery needed to be intuitive across these diverse categories while maintaining a cohesive brand aesthetic. The founder also wanted to expand beyond India with worldwide shipping, requiring multi-currency support and international shipping configuration. With competitors like Fabindia, Jaypore, and iTokri dominating the search results for 'hand block print bedsheets' and 'Jaipur home furnishings', House of Manjari needed a store that could rank organically and convert the traffic it earned.

The Challenge

Our Solution

We redesigned and rebuilt House of Manjari's Shopify store with a custom Liquid theme that puts artisan storytelling at the centre of every interaction. The design language draws from the brand's Rajasthani heritage — warm earth tones, generous whitespace, and typography that evokes the elegance of hand block printing without feeling dated.

Product pages were the critical investment. Each page features a multi-image gallery with zoom-enabled detail shots showing block printing patterns, fabric texture, and stitching quality. We built a 'Craftsmanship Story' section on every product page that explains the hand block printing process, the azo-free natural dyes used, and the artisans behind the piece — turning a product listing into an educational experience that justifies the premium pricing.

For a catalogue spanning bedsheets, quilts, dohars, cushion covers, table cloths, bathrobes, clothing, and kids' items, we built a hierarchical collection structure with both 'Shop by Category' and 'Shop by Volume' (seasonal drops) navigation. Size-specific collections (Single, Double/Queen, King) help customers find the right fit without scrolling through irrelevant products. Smart filters by colour, fabric, and price range make browsing efficient.

The checkout was optimised for Indian shoppers — Razorpay with UPI-first payment flow, free shipping threshold at ₹1,999 (encouraging upsells from the ₹1,295 entry point), and a first-time buyer discount (HOM10 for 10% off) captured through a Klaviyo-powered email popup. WhatsApp Business was integrated for pre-sale queries about fabric and sizing, plus post-sale support.

For international expansion, we configured multi-currency display, international shipping rates through partner logistics, and product descriptions optimised for both Indian and global search terms ('hand block print bedsheet Jaipur' and 'handmade Indian cotton bedding').

SEO was built into every page — structured data for products, collection descriptions targeting long-tail keywords, alt text for every image, and a blog content strategy covering topics like 'how to care for hand block printed cotton' and 'Jaipur artisan traditions'. Loox was configured for photo reviews, and Instagram Shopping connected the brand's social following directly to product pages.

Client testimonial

We had beautiful products but an online store that didn't do them justice. Innovatrix understood the artisan story behind every piece and built a Shopify store that communicates craftsmanship and heritage through every pixel. The product photography layouts, the artisan storytelling, the seamless checkout — it all came together. Our online sales doubled in the first quarter.
